Education for clinicians

Online education for clinicians looking to deliver best-practice care. Bridge the gap between research and what is done in practice.

Meaningful change through
best practice care.

A systematic approach.

Modern pain treatment requires a biopsychosocial approach that considers the various factors that contribute to and maintain pain. Our multidisciplinary approach is informed by physiotherapy, exercise physiology, psychology, and modern pain research.

Treatment Strategies

Our team are experts in pain science, health behaviour change, graded exposure and exercise prescription. Our pathway model of care helps patients to make meaningful change, and leads to effective self-management.

By being systematic and methodical, we achieve best practice for every patient.

Explained things really clearly and I felt very supported and heard.

My only disappointment is that there are only 5 stars to tick!

Questions? We’re here to help.

How should I write a Medicare referral?

The best way is to allocate sessions to physiotherapy. If we identify mental health factors that require psychology, then we will request an amendment. Please allocate a minimum of 3 visits for your patients.

Do you treat CRPS?

Our coaches are particularly skilled at treating neurological conditions. This includes referred pain, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), shingles pain, sciatic pain, and carpal tunnel pain. Treatment of these conditions requires specific knowledge, and our team are incredibly well placed to help.

Can you help my patients with fibromyalgia?

We have a special interest in treating fibromyalgia and many other chronic pain conditions. We are always excited to work with people who have limiting conditions because we see an incredible possibility for improvement, even in cases where a person feels like they are unable to move forward. We take your pain seriously, work to develop your understanding, and gradually test out different activities and strategies until we find a solution that will work for you.

Do you work with sporting injuries?

We are very interested in sporting injuries that do not respond to early, acute management. If your patient’s pain is continuing past expected tissue healing times then our team can support with differential diagnosis, education, activity scheduling.

Are you able to assess my patient’s objective signs?

Yes, our team complete a physical assessment via video link. If we are ever unsure then refer for further support, however, in the vast majority of cases we are able to develop a diagnosis remotely.

What if my patient is not tech-savvy?

A lot of our clients are not familiar with telehealth or video conferencing. We use a simple, secure platform called Cliniko that sends patients an email and txt link - they simply click on the link, and it joins them into a secure chat. We have found that people are very satisfied with this approach.
